Job Title: Aerospace Component Design Engineer
Location: Hebbal, Bangalore
Job Type: Full-time (Work From Office)
We are looking for a highly experienced Aerospace Component Design Engineer to lead the design, analysis, and validation of mechanical components for propulsion systems and fuel control architectures. The role involves working on cryogenic valves, pressure regulators, filters, and fluid connectors under extreme conditions, with a focus on innovation, high reliability, and compliance with aerospace standards.
Bachelor degree
Design and develop aerospace-grade components such as cryogenic valves, pressure regulators, and fluid connectors for LOX/LNG and CH₄/O₂ systems
Conduct design calculations and engineering simulations (FEA/CFD)
Prepare and maintain comprehensive product documentation
Manage the complete New Product Development (NPD) lifecycle for special-purpose aerospace components
Conduct technical feasibility studies for manufacturing, assembly, and testing
Support production through design changes, cost optimization, and quality improvements
Assist in the serial production introduction of developed components
Ensure adherence to aerospace standards such as ASME, NASA-STD, ECSS, ISO 14644
Participate in product development committees and manage project timelines
Handle change management processes and engineering change documentation
Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments (production, quality, testing, procurement) to resolve technical and sourcing issues
Promote innovation and continuous improvement within the design and development process
Minimum 10 years of experience in aerospace component design, including valves, regulators, and connectors
Strong background in NPD processes using DFMEA, DFA, and DFM methodologies
Practical experience with material selection, prototyping, and product testing
Sound knowledge of thermal, structural, and flow simulations (FEA/CFD), particularly for cryogenic systems
Familiarity with cryogenic material behavior, seal technology, and aerospace welding standards
Understanding of component qualification and testing protocols (vibration, burst, leak, thermal cycle)
Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as Creo, Fusion 360, or equivalent
Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Excellent coordination and communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and suppliers
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering (BE), or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) with relevant experience
