Job Title: Senior Production Engineer
Location: UAE
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Senior Production Engineer with a strong background in static equipment fabrication. The role involves planning, supervising, and optimizing production activities to ensure the delivery of high-quality fabricated equipment and structures in line with project specifications and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise day-to-day production activities in the fabrication shop, including static equipment, pressure vessels, storage tanks, and heat exchangers.
Ensure production is executed as per approved drawings, WPS, QCP, and project schedules.
Coordinate with planning, QA/QC, procurement, and engineering teams to ensure smooth workflow and material availability.
Interpret engineering drawings and manage fabrication sequences, fit-up, welding, and assembly processes.
Monitor manpower allocation, productivity, and machine utilization to maintain efficiency.
Enforce adherence to safety protocols and quality standards across all production stages.
Troubleshoot production-related issues and implement effective solutions to minimize delays.
Conduct inspections and liaise with QA/QC teams to ensure dimensional and visual compliance before dispatch.
Prepare daily and weekly production progress reports for internal and client review.
Lead and mentor supervisors, foremen, and skilled workers for optimum performance.
Bachelor degree
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 8+ years of experience in fabrication industries, particularly in static equipment manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of ASME, API, and UL fabrication standards.
Proven experience in the fabrication of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, and steel structures.
Familiarity with shop floor operations, welding techniques (SMAW, GTAW, SAW), and production machinery.
Proficiency in interpreting fabrication drawings, WPS/PQR, and isometric layouts.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in UL-listed tank fabrication and assembly.
Exposure to modular fabrication, skid-mounted equipment, and large-diameter vessels.
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production tracking tools.
