We are seeking an experienced South Indian Specialty Chef with deep expertise in authentic Karnataka cuisine. The ideal candidate should be passionate about traditional cooking and capable of preparing classic dishes like Benne Dosa, Idli, Uttapam, Medu Vada, Sambar, Coconut Chutneys, traditional curries, and rice preparations. The role demands high standards in food quality, presentation, hygiene, and consistency suitable for a fine dining setup.
Bachelor degree
Prepare and present authentic Karnataka dishes to a high culinary standard.
Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation of food items.
Maintain kitchen hygiene and cleanliness as per industry standards.
Manage kitchen inventory and assist in sourcing high-quality ingredients.
Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth culinary operations.
Uphold a clean and organized workstation at all times.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience specializing in Karnataka cuisine in reputed restaurants or hotels.
Education:
Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts preferred.
Certification in South Indian or Karnataka cuisine highly preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
Expert knowledge of Karnataka cooking techniques and traditional recipes.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to handle kitchen operations independently.
Reliable, disciplined, and a strong team player.
Adaptable and committed to high hygiene and food safety standards.
Communication:
Basic proficiency in Kannada, Hindi, and English.
