Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Steel Fabricator responsible for fabricating and assembling steel structures and components based on technical drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of fabrication processes, material handling, and welding, along with the ability to read engineering drawings and ensure structural quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand fabrication requirements.
Fabricate and assemble steel structures such as greenhouse frameworks, highway light poles, brackets, jigs, and other steel components.
Use cutting, welding, grinding, and bending tools to cut, shape, and join steel parts accurately.
Perform welding operations ensuring structurally sound and code-compliant joints.
Handle structural erections, scaffolding, and ACE fabrications as per project needs.
Estimate material requirements and support timely material procurement.
Operate fabrication machinery safely and effectively, adhering to safety protocols.
Conduct quality checks to ensure fabricated parts meet required specifications and tolerances.
Troubleshoot fabrication and welding issues to ensure uninterrupted production flow.
Collaborate with team leads or project managers to resolve design or assembly issues.
Maintain clear records of work done, materials used, and production status.
Keep the workspace clean and safe, complying with all safety regulations.
Assist with on-site installation of steel structures as needed.
Bachelor degree
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in steel fabrication and welding.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication instructions.
Skilled in using various fabrication machines and tools.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Physically fit and capable of performing demanding fabrication tasks.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
ITI certification in fabrication/welding or a diploma in mechanical engineering preferred.
Age: 25 to 35 years
