Job Title: Director – Carbon Trader & Offtaker Relations
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead carbon trading and offtaker relations within voluntary carbon markets and Article 6 mechanisms. The role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with mid- and senior-level stakeholders, identifying new opportunities, and closing impactful transactions aligned with strategic sustainability goals.
This is a unique opportunity to advance professionally in a rapidly evolving sector, trading environmental commodities including carbon offsets, renewable energy credits, and sustainability-linked products across distributed household technologies, nature-based solutions (NBS), and carbon dioxide removal (CDR) initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Drive the carbon credit sales strategy across voluntary and compliance markets.
Identify new market opportunities, pricing mechanisms, and emerging trends in carbon trading.
Build and manage a strong pipeline of offtakers and buyers for carbon credits.
Conduct local and global market research to support growth efforts.
Represent the organization in industry forums, conferences, and client engagements.
Provide strategic insights on carbon pricing, buyer demand, and evolving policies.
Monitor developments in regulatory, compliance, and voluntary markets.
Collaborate with internal teams to align project pipelines with offtaker needs and market demands.
Work closely with growth, finance, and legal teams to structure commercial deals.
Support marketing and communication initiatives to position the organization as a global leader in sustainability.

Qualification :

Bachelor degree

Primary Responsibilities :

Must-Have Qualifications
Native or bilingual proficiency in English.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
5–7 years of experience in carbon trading, brokering, or business development.
Proven skills in business development, cold calling, networking, and data-driven applications.
Strong proficiency in Excel (advanced skills are a plus).
Good-to-Have Skills
Understanding of carbon markets and the global climate action landscape.
Knowledge of regulatory frameworks, particularly Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.
Proactive, go-getter mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
