Job Title: Manager Business Development – Packaging Industry (East Coast, United States)
Location: Remote

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth in the packaging industry across the East Coast of the United States. This role will focus on identifying and capturing new business opportunities, fostering strategic client relationships, and delivering innovative packaging solutions tailored to diverse customer needs.

Primary Responsibilities :

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Market Research and Strategy:

    • Analyze market trends and competitive dynamics specific to the East Coast region.
    • Identify key industries (e.g., food and beverage, e-commerce, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing) for business opportunities.
    • Develop regional business strategies aligned with company objectives to increase market share.
  2. Sales and Business Development:

    • Proactively generate and qualify leads through networking, cold calls, and attending trade shows or industry events.
    • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline focused on East Coast accounts.
    • Deliver tailored proposals and presentations to potential clients, highlighting the value of packaging solutions.
  3. Client Relationship Management:

    • Establish and nurture long-term relationships with key clients, distributors, and stakeholders in the region.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to address client needs and ensure the timely delivery of products.
  4. Negotiation and Contracts:

    • Prepare and negotiate contracts, pricing structures, and terms of service with clients.
    • Ensure agreements align with company profitability goals while addressing client requirements.
    • Oversee contract renewals and maintain a high client retention rate.
  5. Collaboration and Reporting:

    • Work closely with marketing, product development, and operations teams to deliver innovative and sustainable packaging solutions.
    • Provide regular updates to senior management on sales performance, regional market trends, and client feedback.
    • Utilize CRM tools to track sales activities, pipeline progress, and performance metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in the packaging or related industry.
  • Deep understanding of the packaging industry, including materials, trends, and supply chain processes.
  • Proven success in developing and closing business opportunities on the East Coast.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the East Coast to meet clients and attend industry events.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of sustainability and eco-friendly packaging trends.
  • Familiarity with East Coast-specific regulations and market demands.
  • Strong network of contacts within industries reliant on packaging solutions.
